Online Financial Literacy Help For Families Is Huge Success

Oct 12, 2020

A South Florida-based online school has seen tremendous demand on their services post COVID-19 shut down and is taking the nation by storm.

Miami, United States - October 12, 2020 /MarketersMedia/ —

After the super successful soft launch of their online financial literacy school, Kingdom Financial Academy (a non-profit), shall go public on October 12th, 2020. The official launch will give access immediately to individuals, families, and groups who want to become financially literate while preparing for a possible future economic crisis.

The online school was the collective work of Daniel Shalach, a national author, business trainer and Miami credit repair expert and his partners Shasta Baker (a Mompreneur who helps single moms live debt free) and Samantha Quiñones (a financial advisor to millennials who help them invest and prepare for the future).

Shalach has taken his twenty-plus years of successfully repairing credit, teaching First Time Homebuyers classes for H.U.D., and lasered his focus on helping his fellow Americans.

“The soft launch in September was a testing ground and Praise God! it was better received than expected. We knew the Lord had planted this idea in our hearts individually. It is so like our heavenly Father to direct people to us and then take over to ensure success. I am excited to see my brothers and sisters live their purpose without the hindrance of debt and financial illiteracy,” Shalach said.

Studies from 2019 prove that nationally only 16% of millennials understand finances. That is not to say that earlier generations are doing better, a Harvard study from 2018 shows that only 39% of adults 50-65 years of age have a retirement plan.

These statistics inspired states to aggressively pass laws making it mandatory to take financial-literacy classes. As of 2019, nineteen states have taken this step as a condition for graduating from high school, up from thirteen in 2011.

Ironically, the high school financial literacy classes will not be effective. The reason they lack a true impact is because those classes do not change poor financial behaviors.

Research has made evident that Information alone will not make a difference. Whether you give people information on dieting, vaccines or finances, unless you address the mental and emotional aspect and they practice it over and over again… it just will not stick.

While the curriculum is based on the same platform used by Wells Fargo, Verizon, Americorps and many other Fortune 500 companies, Shalach and his team have added a unique psychological aspect that allows students to effectively pinpoint not just where and how they are wasting money but “WHY”.

“As a Christian I knew I wanted to invest in, support, and champion this Kingdom Financial Academy as I was led by my Father. When I learned about the professional pinpointing and eradicating of generational habits concerning poor money management I was elated. I immediately was at peace knowing that I could help our students go beyond just mental “learning” and actually walk them into the world of true change.” Baker shared.

The online school is set up for their student’s success and has a plethora of tools merged with different forms of teaching that will surely make an impact.

This includes:

• Over 160 hours of training
• Classes on understanding and mastering your credit
• Quizzes and tests along each module
• An in depth look at their financial habits
• Interactive teaching (text, video, audio, pictures, measuring tools and more)
• Lifetime access
• Certificate of completion
• And much more

The curriculum has three add-ons that many say they have rarely seen in other literacy programs, much less at the same time:

• A focused class on how to buy a car (to save money and meet needs)
• A professional class on buying a home complete with over 120 succinct videos that cover everything from moving out when you are renting, how to get approved, how to shop for a home and much more. (this one add-on alone is worth more than the course).
• A separate bible-based financial guide that ties the classes taught into biblically backed teachings. (This is 100% OPTIONAL and not mandatory for the course.)
• A mobile-friendly goals board that allows the student to keep track of their financial needs, desires, and family goals

“As a millennial Christian, mother, and entrepreneur, I have made it my passion to help my peers, parents and people who desire to have a secured future without depending on the government. I believe that depending on Christ is paramount and having the proper knowledge enforced and supported with practice is key to success. I partnered with this academy because I am committed to being the change we need to see and I firmly believe it is time the nation as a whole pursued financial literacy now because there may not be an opportunity later.” Quiñones said.

The school was launched as a non-profit and has incorporated an “each one teaches one” mentality into their corporate culture. For every paying student, a free course is donated to a family in need. The first hope is that the person receiving the gifted course would break free from erroneous financial habits and take authority of their finances.

The second goal is that some scholarship students may choose to pay it forward to a family in need (this is not mandatory), and the blessing will continue to empower families across America.

They offer done-for-you programs for organizations like:

• Church group programs both online and in person
• Group programs for community centers
• Programs for schools who want to expand their financial education
• Profit sharing to raise money for churches while helping congregants

The online access is intended for life. This allows the student to get what they need at that moment and as life changes they can revisit and get the guidance to manage a new lifestyle or season no matter what it may look like.
